About the Location

Iceland is an island nation in the North Atlantic where it converges with the Arctic ocean. It also sits at the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Its landscape is shaped by geological activity and the influence of water in many forms – liquid, frozen, precipitation – and wind.

The country has been inhabited for 1000 years, and due to its geographic isolation preserves many unique cultural traditions and language. However, it also leads many industries, including fishing.

Wildlife in Iceland abounds, particularly in, on, and near the ocean. It’s a whale and seabird hotspot. Due to the weather conditions, most of its vegetation is low to the ground, but no less beautiful or interesting.
